Transcript of results

What is an academic transcript?

An academic transcript, or Statement of Academic Record, is the official record of your studies at Edith Cowan University. It includes all courses, units, results, credit points, course completions, and/or conferral of award details, honours levels, and units granted in credit and recognition of prior learning. An academic transcript also lists any units you may have withdrawn from or failed, even if you reattempted and passed them on a subsequent attempt.

Please note that repeated or failed grades cannot be removed from your academic transcript. This document reflects your academic history and cannot be altered under any circumstances.

If you completed your course after July 2018:

You will receive a complimentary digital copy of your Statement of Academic Record (transcript) through My eQuals, along with an electronic Course Completion letter sent to your student email, usually within 2-3 working days after your results are released.

An email with instructions on how to access your document within My eQuals will be sent to you the day after your results are released on SIMO.

Did you commence studies prior to or after 1 January 2000?

If you commenced studies from January 2000 and wish to obtain a digital version of your transcript, you can purchase it through My eQuals using the online payment portal*.  To request this option, select 'Academic Transcript - My eQuals Digital Copy'.  The cost for a digital-only transcript is $20.00.

*To access the portal, you will be required to log in using your ECU login credentials. If you require assistance with resetting your password or retrieving your username, please phone us on (08) 6304 6000 or email us at itservicedesk@ecu.edu.au.

If you have forgotten your ECU password or if it has expired, you can reset your password yourself using MyLOGIN. You will be asked for your login ID and will need to answer three challenge questions before resetting your password.  If you haven't set your challenge questions or can't remember login ID, please contact the IT Service Desk for assistance to reset your password.  We will need to identify you before we can reset your password, so please ensure you have the following information on hand:

  • Student number
  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Course details

Due to the manner in which final results and grade outcomes were recorded at that time, students who undertook studies prior to 2000 are ineligible to receive digital transcripts. However, you can purchase a paper copy of your Academic Transcript, which can either be collected or posted to you at a cost of $30.00. A scanned copy of your transcript will also be sent to your ECU student email address.

To request this option, select 'Academic Transcript – Email Copy and Hard Copy' via our online payment portal*.

Please note: All replacement/additional transcripts provided will be produced in the current ECU format at the time of the request.

Do you require a paper copy of your transcript?

If you require a paper copy of your transcript or need one before completing your course, you can either:

  • Print an Academic eRecord from SIMO (if you need less formal documentation or your results); or
  • Purchase a paper copy of your Academic Transcript and collect it or have it posted to you at a cost of $30.00 via our online payment portal*. A scanned copy of your transcript will also be sent to your ECU student email address.

If you choose postage, your Academic Transcript will be mailed to the correspondence address we have for you on SIMO. Please allow approximately five (5) business days for processing, plus postage time.

Did you study at ECU prior to 1983?

Please contact the Student Hub to check if your records are stored electronically before ordering a transcript. If you studied prior to 1983, your student record may not appear in our electronic records.

If your records are not stored electronically, you will be referred to our Student Records office for assistance. Transcripts are not available in this instance; however, we may be able to provide a letter confirming your qualification. There is a cost of $30 for this letter, and proof of identity is required.

Please note: It may not always be possible to provide this documentation for studies prior to 1983.
