Koora, Yeye, Boorda Cultural Awareness Module

All new students are required to complete the Koora, Yeye, Boorda Module as an introduction to Aboriginal Australia.

Koora, Yeye, Boorda is a Noongar phrase meaning Past, Present, Future.

The Module provides an opportunity for students to engage with a range of learning activities and experiences that will enrich knowledge and understanding of Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, cultures and histories.

From 1 January 2024, all new students (enrolled in an Award Course or an Enabling Course, except Higher Degree by Research Candidates) are encouraged to self-enrol in the module via Canvas.

It will take approximately one and half hours to complete, and this can be in one sitting or in sections. There is a reflective quiz at the end of each of the eight sections.

The completion of the Module is highly recommended to be completed prior to the commencement of study as it will form a good cultural knowledge foundation to build upon.
