Digital Essentials is a suite of modules to support your learning using technologies, including how to communicate, collaborate and connect with your lecturers and fellow students and how to best manage your digital identity. All these skills are needed for a successful learning journey at ECU and are essential for your career and in the workplace. To test your acquired knowledge, you can complete a quiz and provide feedback for any improvements to your learning experience.
ECU supports both on campus and online learning by providing access to collaborative tools and learning materials. On this page you will find more information about what technological requirements you must meet to be able to access online learning tools such as Blackboard, Blackboard Collaborate, Microsoft Teams and other useful information to prepare you for effective online learning and collaboration.
Support for online learning is administered through a service called Peer Assistants. This friendly service which is run on campus (Joondalup and Mount Lawley) and online through Microsoft Teams can help you with any online issues you might experience during teaching weeks throughout semester. When contacted, a Peer Assistant team member will provide you with the information you need pretty much instantly during their service hours.
In your study you may encounter a variety of learning technologies to support your learning. Access this page to find out more about the learning tools available.
Whether you are studying on campus or online, ECU is committed to providing you with access to quality learning and teaching experiences and support. The information below is to help ensure that you can participate confidently in the digital learning environment.
