Digital Essentials is a suite of modules to support your learning using technologies, including how to communicate, collaborate and connect with your lecturers and fellow students and how to best manage your digital identity. All these skills are needed for a successful learning journey at ECU and are essential for your career and in the workplace. To test your acquired knowledge, you can complete a quiz and provide feedback for any improvements to your learning experience.
ECU supports both on campus and online learning by providing access to collaborative tools and learning materials. On this page you will find more information about what technological requirements you must meet to be able to access online learning tools such as Canvas, Microsoft Teams and other useful information to prepare you for effective online learning and collaboration.
Support for online learning is administered through a service called Library Peer Assistants. This friendly service, which is run on campus at the Joondalup and Mount Lawley Libraries, and online through Microsoft Teams, can help you with any online issues you might experience during teaching weeks throughout semester. When contacted, a Library Peer Assistant team member will provide you with the information you need pretty much instantly during their service hours.
