Resources

Kurongkurl Katitjin provides a range of resources to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to help with university life, including printing, dedicated study spaces, assistance buying textbooks and more.

Nala Karla rooms are dedicated study and relaxation areas for the ECU’s Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and are found on all three campuses.

These rooms are available between 7:30am - 11:30pm, seven days a week.

They provide additional computing and printing facilities, a quiet space for tutoring sessions, tea and coffee making facilities, and a social hub to help you connect with the student community.

Room locations:

  • Bunbury (South West), SW 7.101
  • Joondalup, JO 34.240 (Ngoolark)
  • Mount Lawley, ML 15.123 (Kurongkurl Katitjin)

Students who identify as Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander will have access automatically applied to their student card.

Access for rooms will be updated and granted the week of Orientation week each semester.

NOTE: Access is removed when changes occur to a student's enrolment status (i.e. deferral, withdrawal) or at the end of each semester.

Kurongkurl Katitjin provides an allocated printing credit for the University’s Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Upon application, each student is allocated up to $40 per semester, this is equivalent to 500 black and white pages. This service gives flexibility for students to print, scan and copy across the three campuses, including the eLabs and Libraries.
