We acknowledge and promote teaching excellence and leadership through:
- ECU’s Professional Development Courses (PDCs);
- resources and training for Sessional Staff;
- networks, communities of practice and Learning Communities;
- mentoring programs including classroom observations, consultations and Peer Review Partnerships;
- teaching-based research support SoTL; and
- teaching award support Awards and Grants.
PDC Program
ECU’s suite of Professional Development Courses (PDC) provides academic staff from a range of different roles with the basic knowledge and skills needed to get started at ECU, improve academic practice, and to grow professionally. The courses run throughout the year. Enrolment in any of the PDCs is via the Staff Learning Management System.
Peer review of teaching
Peer review of teaching is a process for gaining feedback and input on any or all aspects of teaching face-to-face, blended and online, for a range of purposes. Find out more about Peer review of teaching.

The Staff LMS allows you to view scheduled Professional Development courses available for enrolment. If a Professional Development course is not listed please contact CLT.
