Artificial Intelligence Literacy Resources for ECU Staff

The following AI literacy professional development resources have been created to empower and enable all ECU staff in the productive and ethical use of AI, in line with the ECU Framework for the Productive and Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence and associated AI in Learning and Teaching at ECU guidelines for curriculum, teaching and assessment, and research and research training. Engaging with these resources will increase your knowledge and skills with chat-based AI tools like Microsoft Copilot and more.

AI 101 Resource on Canvas

AI 101 is designed to get staff quickly up to speed with the essentials of generative AI. In this self-paced Canvas course, you’ll learn what generative AI is and how it works, consider important ethical questions raised by the technologies, and explore ideas for how to use generative AI in learning and teaching both ethically and effectively.

Explore AI Online Workshops

The Explore AI online workshops complement the AI 101 self-paced course by providing you with an opportunity to practice key AI skills through hands-on activities, learning strategies that you can apply to your work. The revised three-part series will run three times in 2025.
