This page will help you enrol in units for your course.
It’s important that you know when enrolment opens for the units you plan to study. Enrolment occurs at different times of the year, depending on the type of teaching period your study fits into.
Teaching periods for most students are semesters, but we also have summer teaching periods, terms, trimesters and practicums.
Before you head to SIMO to enrol, you can find details of when enrolments open and close for each teaching period and information on when enrolments open for next year (updated in September each year) on our Enrolment dates page.
You’ll need to enrol in units by accessing SIMO via the Student Portal.
Before you start, go to the Handbook and find the codes of the units you want to enrol in.
Check the Handbook for unit pre-requisites and co-requisites before enrolling.
Log in to your Student Portal and choose 'Semester Timetable' under the 'Other Logins' heading.
Plan your semester timetable by following the instructions and searching for the units you want to enrol in. This will make your enrolment session in SIMO easier and quicker.
The SIMO How to Guide will also step you through the whole process, starting on page 4.
Off-campus mode means studying a unit online.
International students must also speak to the Student Hub about off-campus units as this may affect your student visa.
