Study tours, internships and short programs

Taking part in a study tour is a great way to do something out of the ordinary and immerse yourself in an enriching cultural experience.

You’ll also develop your knowledge and practical skills while possibly receiving credit towards your ECU degree – and give you something to enhance your resume.

Sri Lanka Business Study tour

If you are a student in the School of Business, reach out for this rare opportunity to immerse yourself in Sri Lankan culture through homestay interactions, cultural events and excursions to local attractions during your stay in the two largest cities in this diverse country. Add to this the invaluable learning experiences gained through visits to local industries, production facilities and workplaces such as small IT companies, all while finding yourself surrounded by breathtaking hills covered with tropical vegetation one moment, and ogling its landmark colonial architecture the next.

Exercise and Health Science China Study Tour

Second and third year ECU undergraduate students studying Exercise and Health Science are invited to apply to participate in a 2 week study tour at the Tianjin University of Sport (TUS). Students will spend two weeks participating in a structured academic program of Chinese language, exercise and cultural activities that will provide them with the chance to see the way in which China has blended traditional approaches to health and wellbeing with the scientific discipline of exercise and sport science.

Nursing Clinical Placement - Tanzania

Nursing practices in Tanzania combines traditional and western medicine, making Tanzania a perfect destination to explore and expand knowledge on the healthcare systems in developing regions.  On this unique trip, students will also visit health care establishments and villages, meeting locals and medical professionals allowing for greater understanding of the medical system in Tanzania.
