The Living Room Events

The Living Room is a peer-led, wellbeing service for ECU students, based on both the Joondalup and Mount Lawley campuses.

Peer Support Advisors are fellow students who understand the challenges of being at university. They're here to listen, guide, and help you find practical solutions. No appointment needed. Just drop in during our opening hours.

The Living Room also hosts free events throughout the semester to help you improve your well-being, connect with others, and manage stress. See below for upcoming events.

The Living Room Joondalup - Upcoming events

Located in Building 6 in the Wellbeing Precinct (upstairs from Café 6).

  • The Living Room Café
    Every Wednesday*, 3.30pm – 4.30pm
    Connect and unwind at The Living Room Café. A cozy, welcoming space to meet other students, share stories and take a break from study life. Craft, snacks and chats provided.
  • The Brew Crew
    First Tuesday of every month*, 3.30pm - 4.30pm 

    Real talk, fresh ideas and zero judgment. Just students sharing wellbeing ideas on campus.
  • Breakfast Club
    Last Wednesday of every month*, 8.00am – 9.00am

    Start your day the right way with free fruit, toast, tea, coffee, and good company. Drop-in, fuel up, and connect. No pressure, just good vibes and better mornings.
  • TLR Word Spin
    Anytime during opening hours*
    Think you’re a word wizard? Each week a new long word goes up on the whiteboard at The Living Room.
    Your challenge: create as many smaller words as you can from its letters. Bragging rights and brain boosts included!

The Living Room Mount Lawley - Upcoming events

Located in Building 12.124 (behind the Student Lounge).

  • Stretch and Sip
    Wednesday 27 August, 3.00pm – 4.00pm

    Enjoy a session of gentle, chair-based yoga and Pilates, followed by a warm cup of hot chocolate. Stretch & Sip is the perfect cosy combo to move, relax and treat yourself. No prior yoga or Pilates experience is necessary. Everyone welcome! BYO towel.

  • Smoothie Cycle
    Thursday 11 September, 11.00am – 2.00pm

    Who needs electricity? Pedal your way to a perfect smoothie on our human-powered blender bike.
    Smoothie ingredients provided, just come ready to pedal!
  • TLR Breakfast
    Tuesday 16 September, 8.30am – 10.00am

    Drop in to The Living Room for a free breakfast and hot drink! Fruit, pastries, coffee, tea and hot chocolate available, with gluten and dairy free options too.
