Buying a computer or software

Both Apple and Dell offer special education pricing to ECU students. These discounts are of excellent value and provide unparalleled performance.

Microsoft also offers discounted software to students and ECU has EndNote available to download for free for use on your own computer.

Discounts from Dell

The Dell Student Purchase Program offers discounts on computers, printers, software and accessories.

To take advantage of their offers, visit the Dell Student Purchase Program website and copy the coupon code of the offer you would like to redeem. Shop for your Dell product and, in your cart before checkout, enter the E-Value code in the appropriate field. Click ‘Apply Coupon’ to ensure the discount is applied.

Discounts from Apple

The Apple Store for Education offers education pricing to ECU students and staff on Macs and more.

To take advantage of their offers, visit the Apple Store for Education website and shop for your Apple product.

Buying software

The Microsoft Store offers discounts to students on Office 365. To take advantage of their offers, visit the Microsoft Store website.

A variety of other software is available for purchase at a significantly discounted price through ECU’s OnTheHub service.

Free software downloads

EndNote for Windows and Mac is available to all students for free for use on your own computer.
Visit the Software Download Service website to download EndNote.

Microsoft currently provides Office 365 for ECU Students at no cost. To download, log into your ECU student mail and follow the prompts.

Borrow software from the Library

EndNote is also available to borrow on CD from the Libraries on each campus. Visit the Library Information desk to request your copy of EndNote.
Certain postgraduate (Masters or PHd) students are eligible to apply for a staff number; this opens the opportunity to borrow NVivo and SPSS CDs from the Library.
