Anchor Yourself

Ahoy there! Anchor Yourself is a series of four workshops that aim to introduce strategies for helpfully managing the stress demands of student life.

Each workshop will introduce a strategy focused on calming, grounding and being more present. Want to learn and practice psychological skills to help you navigate the epic seas of student life? Then these workshops are for you. These sessions are delivered online, register for them individually below.

Anchor Yourself Session 1: Breath and release

Our breath and body play an essential role in our ability to cope with stress and anxiety. This workshop introduces two techniques – breathing retraining and progressive muscle release – that you can use to help calm yourself.

Anchor Yourself Session 2: Visualisation

What we hold in your minds has a direct impact on our ‘in the moment’ coping. Using guided imagery and visualisation tasks, this workshop aims to introduce strategies that we can use anytime and anywhere.

Thursday 15 August 2.30pm - 3.30pm Online

Anchor Yourself Session 3: Self-Compassion

Anchor yourself in the practice of self-compassion, an evidence-based technique that can help guide our mental state… and our productivity!

Monday 19 August 2.30pm - 3.30pm Online

Anchor Yourself Session 4: Pause, Notice, Proceed.

Running on autopilot? This workshop offers opportunities for learning how to use what we notice in our current circumstances and environment to help us move forward in more insightful and meaningful ways.
