Work Health and Safety Management System

ECU’s Work Health and Safety Management System (WHSMS) is a systematic approach to ensure the University can provide, maintain and continually improve a safe and healthy working and learning environment for our workers, students and the community, where hazards are eliminated or minimised so far as is reasonably practicable.

ECU maintains a Work Health and Safety Policy outlining the commitment to WHS and a Work, Health, Safety (WHS) and Wellbeing Plan 2023-2026 that supports the continual improvement of WHS at ECU.

ECU’s Work Health and Safety Management System Guideline outlines the scope and application of the WHSMS with the Work Health and Safety Management Framework providing the structure and documents that make up the WHSMS.
