EI is an initiative of the Federal Government to assess how well researchers are engaging with end-users of research and Australian universities are translating their research into economic, social, environmental, cultural and other impacts. EI is administered by the Australian Research Council (ARC) and is a companion program to ERA.
The inaugural round of EI was in 2018. Future rounds are being considered in the context of the Government’s response to the Australian Universities Accord. The ARC's EI website will be updated when information about the new Research Evaluation Framework is available.
