Foundations and Trust Grant Funding

When a grant opportunity arises with a philanthropic funding body, the process varies from the standard one as Research Services works alongside the Office of Development and Alumni Relations (ODAR) on these opportunities.  In a bid to have the most suitable projects identified and funded, ODAR will put out a call for Notice of Interest to select the relevant projects, develop the application with the CI and liaise and work closely with Research Services.  ODAR will submit to the funder and capture finance and Associate Dean Research approvals.  Research Services will record in the ECU Research Management System, unless the funder requires funds to be given in the form of a donation, typically via the ECU Foundation.  The process is captured below:
