Strategic Priority 16 - “Establish a contemporary approach to academic careers.
ECU will develop a contemporary academic careers framework that enables academic staff to deliver high performance scholarly teaching, and research outcomes, and supports their career aspirations, and goals of the University.”
This strategic priority reflects a range of inputs received during the strategic plan development, including feedback about the utility of the existing ASPEO Framework to guide academic work; an expressed desire of both ECU and academic staff to be able to be recognised for the diverse work that they do; and to ensure that role activity and performance expectations are defined and aligned to contemporary models of academic work.
The key outcome of the Contemporary Academic Careers Project will be to replace the ASPEO Framework with a tool that is fit for purpose and enabling of our academic staff in establishing and developing lifelong productive and fulfilling careers.
A detailed overview of the project objectives, projected outcomes and opportunities for you to engage is available on the Contemporary Academic Careers SharePoint page.
