Salary rates and allowances

Salary rates and allowances for academic and professional staff are outlined in the Edith Cowan University Enterprise Agreement 2022 as well as in the Guide to Allowances and Recognition Payments. Salary rates and specific allowances are negotiated between the University, employees and relevant unions.

2024 Pay rates - increase effective 5 July 2024

A range of allowances and recognition payments are available to recognise high performance amongst ECU academic and professional staff that contributes to ECU’s teaching, research and operational performance.

It also includes a reference table to assist in quickly identifying the most appropriate allowance or recognition payment for a particular situation. Your HR Business Partner is also able to provide specific guidance with one-off circumstances.

Information on how to respond to situations where an exceptional employee has received an external job offer is outlined in the Guideline to Counter offers.  Specific cases need to be discussed with the Manager, HR Services.

Individual guidelines exist where an employee is required to use their vehicle for work purposes or is identified as being in a role required to undertake frequent travel.
