Salary packaging options

Salary packaging involves restructuring your salary by choosing to receive your salary as a combination of cash and approved fringe benefits that are paid out of your pre-tax salary. This has been approved by the Australian Taxation Office. Find out what you can package with our Salary Packaging Options guide.

You can customise your salary package by choosing benefits that best suit your individual needs and income.

Salary packaging is not compulsory and may be entered into or cancelled at any time.

Providers

ECU has two providers to manage staff salary packaging options.  Maxxia and nlc who both provide a full range of salary packaging services.

What can you package?

Savings gained through salary packaging can be significant and will depend upon your salary, the benefits you select, the amount spent on those benefits and other personal circumstances.

ECU offers salary sacrifice for the following through payroll directly: superannuation; ECU Sports Gym Memberships; Kids Holiday Programs; staff giving and parking.

ECU has engaged salary packaging providers Maxxia and nlc, to assist eligible employees to optimise their remuneration by receiving their salary as a combination of cash and tax-effective benefits for car leases and other items such as laptops and electronic devices. Maxxia and nlc's role is to promote packaging benefits to employees, to consult with individuals about suitable packaging options and administer packaging arrangements.
