Salary packaging options

Salary packaging is a voluntary arrangement where your salary is repackaged into a combination of cash and certain non-cash benefits.

You can customise your salary package by choosing from certain benefits that best suit your individual needs and income.

Please ensure you read the Salary Packaging Policy prior to entering into a salary packaging arrangement.

The Australian Taxation Office website provides comprehensive information on salary packaging.

The University is unable to provide financial advice to employees on the benefits or otherwise entering into a salary packaging arrangement.

Employees considering entering into a salary packaging arrangement should obtain their own independent financial advice prior to entering into any such arrangement.

Each of the Salary Packaging categories have strict eligibility conditions to ensure the Australian Tax Office requirements are met.

Salary packaging is not compulsory and may be entered into or cancelled at any time.  Please note however if you do, there may be costs and consequences payable to your salary package provider as set out in your lease and salary package documentation.

Please note staff on a casual contract can only salary package into Superannuation.
