Reference management

It is strongly recommended that you use bibliographic software, such as EndNote, to manage your references and produce your thesis citations and reference list.

This will save you time and ensure that your referencing is of a consistent format and reduce the chance of errors.

About EndNote

EndNote is a program which can store, manage and search for references in a private library set up by the user.

References from the library can then be inserted into a Microsoft Word document and the reference list automatically compiled by EndNote.

Electronic information from on-line databases and library catalogues can be imported into EndNote.

The time saving benefits of EndNote make it an essential tool for all postgraduate candidates. To maximise its benefits, EndNote should be used from the commencement of candidature. It’s also a useful tool for managing your literature review.
