2026 ECU Stan Perron Charitable Foundation – ORIGINS Collaborative Scholarship

Edith Cowan University (ECU), in partnership with the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation and the ORIGINS Cohort study, is offering generous scholarships and top-up scholarships to support impactful research in child health. These scholarships are designed to attract motivated and passionate Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates who want to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people in Western Australia.

Overview

This scholarship supports currently enrolled and newly commenced ECU PhD candidates undertaking research projects that advance the health and wellbeing of children and young people aged 0 to 24 years. In alignment with the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth (ARACY), we adopt The Nest framework to define health holistically.

  • Check the application process and eligibility criteria on the Scholarships webpage.
  • Obtain an endorsement from your supervisors via email confirming that your current research project is related to Childhood Health, in line with the eligibility criteria above.
  • Submit your application via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal.

  • Check the application process and eligibility criteria on the Scholarships webpage.
  • Contact the potential HDR Supervisor for your proposed project to determine their suitability, alignment and availability. Ensure the proposed research project is related to Childhood Health, in line with the eligibility criteria above.
  • Obtain a confirmation email from your proposed supervisors indicating a willingness to supervise your proposed project. You will require this confirmation email prior to applying.
  • Submit your Scholarship application via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal. The scholarship application portal will close on 31 May 2026.
