Gender equality in the workplace

ECU is required to report annually to Federal Government on its policies and strategies that promote gender equality.  The report also includes a workplace profile showing staff by level and gender.

This is a requirement of the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012.

The 2020 report contains a snapshot of the number of fixed-term and ongoing staff employed by the university on 31 March 2020, and casual staff numbers across the period 1 April 2019 - 31 March 2020.

In addition, ECU has been recognised by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency as an Employer of Choice in Gender Equality. One of only three WA headquartered organisations leading the way in workplace gender equity.

The application for Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation is available for staff to access. Staff members require an active profile in HPCM to be able to view secure documents. If you cannot download the document, please email Information Management & Archives Services to request access.

You may make comments on the report by emailing or emailing the Workplace Gender Equality Agency direct.

Refer to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency’s website for guidelines on this process.
