Funding for Facilitating Research Collaboration

Applications for this initiative are now open for ECU researchers seeking to build research collaboration and enhance their current and future research activities.

Funding of $5,000 each is available for up to 10 collaborations to support ECU researchers to travel or collaborators to visit ECU to discuss and plan future research projects and activities.

Expressions of Interest are invited from ECU researchers seeking to establish and develop quality collaborations with world-class researchers and research groups outside of Western Australia.

For further information, refer to the Facilitating Research Collaboration Guidelines. The closing date for the expression of interest is Monday 8 April 2024.

To apply, submit an Expression of Interest to research@ecu.edu.au

ECU Facilitating Research Collaboration grants awarded for 2024

The 2024 Facilitating Research Collaboration scheme provided up to $5,000 in funding to assist ECU researchers to establish and develop quality collaborations with world-class researchers from overseas and in Australia, outside WA.  In total, 32 applications were received, seeking to establish 10 interstate collaborations and international collaborations in 13 countries.

Due to the high quality of the submissions and proposed collaborations, six additional grants were awarded above the ten stated in the funding scheme guidelines, hence grants were awarded to 16 of the applicants, a 50% success rate.   The list of successful applications can be accessed below:
