The annual review of courses and coursework units is an important part of ECU's approach to academic quality and continuous improvement. The reviews are conducted to ensure relevance and quality of ECU’s curriculum, particularly in relation to student learning and the student experience. Reviews are conducted through the web-based application ECUonQ, where course and unit coordinators will:
Regular monitoring of courses and units is an important aspect of academic quality assurance; and helps to inform other processes such as the major course review and professional accreditation applications.
ECUonQ is accessible via the Easy Logins menu in the Staff Portal. If you are unable to access it, please contact Academic Quality and Standards.
Unit Reviews are conducted in two review periods:
Mid-year Review (Units offered in semester one only) from July to October; and
End of Year Review (Units offered in both semesters, semester two only, and full year units) from December to February.
The Manager, Academic Quality and Standards will inform Unit Coordinators and Associate Deans (Teaching and Learning) when the Annual Review Period has commenced and is open for review.
The period for Annual Course Reviews is typically March to June.
The Manager, Academic Quality and Standards will inform Course Coordinators and Associate Deans (Teaching and Learning) when the Course review period has commenced and is open for review. The Annual Course Review Period is generally open for approximately 12 weeks.
