To help you prepare for a new starter, and to ensure we’re ready for their commencement from day one, your Onboarding Checklist provides everything you need to prepare for a new starter over the first 3 months.
To assist you in completing the checklist, details about some of the initial items are provided below.
We have also provided your new starter with a list of items on how to get started at ECU as part of their staff induction. Should they require assistance, you can view these items on their Getting started web page.
Each staff member is given a staff number when their contract of employment has been processed. Before you arrange a computer system account (below) for your new starter you will need to know their staff number. For your new starter’s staff number, contact your area’s Payroll and Personnel Officer.
To set up a computer account for your new starter, you need to complete an Application for a Computer System Account and lodge it with IT. The form is to be completed by both the user and their supervisor. Your new starter also has to read and agree to the Acceptable Use of Information Systems Policy.
