How to create a new video

Contact your Marketing Account Manager to find out where to start.

Is your video suitable for the ECU YouTube channel?

Content should be suitable for public consumption and be relevant to the channel’s audience: prospective students and the wider community.

Content should:

  • Enhance, reflect and reinforce the University brand and brand model
  • Be representative of the University and the calibre of its courses, students, staff, support services, teaching and research
  • Raise the profile of the University and its activities across our prospective student audiences and the wider community
  • Enrich and support the University’s other recruitment activity

ECU should either:

  • Own the copyright of the video, or
  • Be granted a license giving permission for the content to be uploaded to ECU’s YouTube channel

Examples of suitable content (this list is not exhaustive):

  • Student testimonials
  • Student work
  • Presentations given by ECU researchers/research students, e.g. videos of ECU’s 3MT competition presentations
  • Guest Lectures at ECU events
