If you are unable to meet the standard Commonwealth Prac Payment (CPP) eligibility requirements because of temporary circumstances outside your control, you may be able to apply under the Exceptional Circumstances provisions.
You may be eligible for consideration if temporary circumstances outside your control affected your ability to meet the standard CPP requirements.
Step 1: Submit a CPP Application
Complete and submit a Commonwealth Prac Payment application and select the Need to Work pathway within your application.
Step 2: Complete the Exceptional Circumstances Form
Complete the Exceptional Circumstances Form available on the ECU Student Forms Page.
Step 3: Provide Supporting Evidence
Supporting documentation should relate to the relevant CPP assessment period.

Department Assessment
The application will be referred to the Australian Government Department of Education for assessment.
Assessment is completed in accordance with Australian Government requirements.

You will be advised of the outcome by email once assessment has been completed.
