If you’re working in an office then you will probably require a key. Ask your supervisor if this has been arranged for you otherwise take the completed Office key form to the Campus Support Office.

All our landline telephones are equipped with voicemail facilities. Please set up your mailbox as soon as possible. To gain access to your mailbox dial extension 8099 (6304 8099 from off-campus), enter your initial password of 0000 then follow the prompts. We encourage you to investigate all alternative travel methods to and from work. If you do choose to drive then you will need a parking permit to park in any of the allocated staff car parks. There are permit options and you can save money by salary packaging the cost of a permit.

Emails are the predominant method of communication across the University. We expect all staff to adhere to the email etiquette guidelines to ensure that a consistent standard of professionalism and presentation is used across ECU. For more information, see our email policy.
The ECU Enterprise Agreement provides the framework in the development of academic workload models. The Work Unit consults with it’s academic employees to develop a model, and the model provides for the allocation of academic workload which typically consists of assigned and self-directed tasks

Our mail delivery service is managed by the Campus Support Office. There are two inter-campus deliveries per day and one for Australia Post. For more information, see our mail distribution web page.

Staff are able to borrow multimedia equipment from Multimedia Resources (MMR). To borrow equipment, you need to complete an online form on our MMR staff web page.
All staff are encouraged to wear a name badge at work, to meetings and whenever representing ECU. Ask your supervisor if this has been arranged for you already otherwise you can arrange this with your Office Administrator.
