Planning framework

ECU's strategic direction is articulated in Engaging Minds, Engaging Communities: Towards 2020.  The document outlines the University's Purpose, Vision, Values and Strategic Priorities for the period to 2020.

The ECU Planning Framework describes how strategic, operational and individual workplans relate to one another and how strategic planning helps inform the goals and objectives of faculties, service centres, schools, units and all staff members.  The University's five strategic priorities are designed to be flexible, adaptable and responsive to internal and external opportunities and challenges; and provide a clear, long-term framework for strategic thinking and decision-making.

University plans describe objectives in terms of initiatives and actions and each has measures and targets in order to monitor and report progress towards achieving the objectives.  Measures may include relevant Performance Indicators (PIs).

Please note: ECU is currently reviewing its strategic plan.
