Research area

Ensi is a PhD student at the Centre for Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in the School of Science. She is dedicated to developing strategies and techniques to accurately identify alcohol intoxication in drivers through facial analysis. This research is driven by global effort to enhance road safety and reduce the number of drunk driving incidents. Her work has the potential to greatly impact the real world by providing a non-invasive, objective means of detecting drunk driving and promoting safer roads for all.

Background

Ensi earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of United Arab Emirates in 2010. During her Master of Electrical Engineering studies at UAEU university, she worked as a technical support specialist and product specialist at several technology companies and gained hands-on experience in the application of new technologies in the medical industry as well as driver safety. Upon completing her master's, Ensi further honed her skills in the tech industry, serving as a technical support manager at leading companies. She is now pursuing a PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, and AI. In her leisure time, Ensi keeps active at the gym, enjoys photography, and stays informed of the latest advancements in her field through reading technology blogs.
