Payment plan for VET students

Edith Cowan University offers a payment plan option to eligible students to allow students to pay their fees by instalments.

Eligibility

You may be eligible for a payment plan if you are:

  • an Australian Citizen, an Australian Permanent Resident, a New Zealand Citizen, or, a Permanent Humanitarian Visa holder
  • studying a VET course but ineligible to apply for a VET Student Loan
  • at least 18 years old (if you are under 18 years old, you will require a guarantor to enter the payment plan on your behalf)

Your eligibility will be further assessed upon your application and further exclusions may apply.

Payment Plan Application Process

To apply to pay your fees by instalments:

  • Send your request for a payment plan to enquiries@ecu.edu.au by the fee due date of the relevant teaching period and include the following:
    • Student ID number
    • course code and title
    • frequency of instalment (weekly or fortnightly)
    • length of arrangement (must not exceed course duration)
    • current fees owing

Enrolment Changes

At the time of application approval, an invoice detailing all units included in the payment plan will be sent to you. Any units or charges that occur after the arrangement is drafted will be considered outside the payment plan. You can either pay the difference in full or have it added to your payment plan by contacting enquiries@ecu.edu.au.

You have until the census date to amend/withdraw from your enrolment to be eligible for a refund of course fees. A formal discontinuation form must also be completed.

Please send an email to enquiries@ecu.edu.au if you want to cancel your payment plan.

Non-payment/Non-adherence

Students with an approved payment plan are required to pay in regular instalments. Failure to do so may result in:

  • cancellation of enrolment
  • application of one or more of the following encumbrances (restrictions) on your student record:
    • services
    • results
    • transcripts
    • graduation
    • access to SIMO services
