Full Fee Paying Courses and Non-Award Units

If you are enrolled in a course that is not a Commonwealth Supported course, you will need to pay the full tuition fee for each unit you are enrolled in.

Postgraduate students

If you are enrolled in a post-graduate course, you may be eligible to defer your tuition fees to a FEE-HELP loan. For more information, please visit the HELP loans page.

Research degrees

If you are enrolled in a  Masters by Research or a PhD, you may be covered by the Research Training Program (RTP). This means  you will not need to pay tuition fees for eligible courses.

Non-Award studies

If you choose to study individual units without enrolling in a full ECU course, this is called a non-award enrolment.

Important things to know:

  • Non-award units are not eligible for Commonwealth support or government assistance under the Higher Education Loan Programs (HECS-HELP and FEE-HELP)
  • You will need to pay your fees upfront, unless you are undertaking Bridging Studies for Overseas Trained Professionals. For information about eligible Bridging studies, please visit Study Assist.
