Courtesy of Business Events Perth, one deserving ECU staff member will be awarded $5,000 to attend an international event or conference in their field.
The award is open to both academic and professional staff and offers the recipient the opportunity to share ECU expertise on a global platform and connect with industry leaders all over the world.
In return, all you need to do is identify an international conference that has the potential to be staged in Western Australia and present a brief case as to why the conference should be held here.
The ECU Aspire Award covers travel, accommodation, and registration expenses to the maximum value of $5,000, and can be used within three years of receiving the award.
Last year, the award was presented to Prof Paul Haskell-Dowland, Associate Dean of Computing and Security who used the grant to attend the Information Security and Privacy Conference in Poland, providing opportunities for Paul to share his knowledge and connect with industry leaders all over the world.
