Win a $5,000 grant to attend an international event or conference

Courtesy of Business Events Perth, one lucky ECU staff member will be awarded $5000 to attend an international event or conference in their field. The ECU Aspire Award covers travel, accommodation, and registration expenses to the maximum value of $5,000, and can be used within three years of receiving the award.
The award is open to both academic and professional staff and offers the recipient the opportunity to share ECU expertise on a global platform and connect with industry leaders all over the world.
In return, all you need to do is identify an international conference that has the potential to be staged in Western Australia and present a brief case as to why the conference should be held here.
Last year, the award was presented to Dr Sanjay Kumar Shukla, Associate Professor with the School of Engineering who is working on sustainable development in civil engineering. The Award enabled him to attend the 12th International Conference on Geosynthetics – his specific field of study.
