Exams are just around the corner, so now’s the time to get organised. A little preparation can help take some of the stress out of exam week and make sure you’re ready to finish the semester with confidence.
Make sure you know exactly when and where your exams are taking place. Your personalised exam timetable, including dates, times and venues, is available in SIMO.
Don’t leave it until exam day to work out what you need to bring.
Your Student ID is required when you sit an exam, so make sure you know where yours is and arrange a replacement beforehand if you need one.
It’s also worth familiarising yourself with the exam guidelines so you know what’s allowed in the exam room and what to expect on the day.
The Academic Skills Centre has resources to help you prepare, including guidance on study techniques and different exam formats.
Feeling nervous about exams? ECU’s Staying Calm During Exams tip sheet also has practical advice to help you manage stress before and during your exam – from preparing in advance and getting enough rest to staying focused if anxiety kicks in.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed or need some extra support during the exam period, ECU support services are also available to help you stay on track.
Check the exam FAQs for answers to common questions, including what to bring, when results are released and what to do if you can’t attend an exam, including information about deferred exams.
If you’re still unsure about anything, the Student Hub is here to help. The team can answer your questions or connect you with the right support.
