Out of Hours Crisis Line for ECU students
If you require urgent mental health support over the holiday closure period, please call 1300 583 032 or text 0488 884 232. The service is intended to help callers find immediate relief from emotional distress, safely manage any immediate threats to life or safety, open pathways for longer-term solutions and focus specific next steps for the caller to take.
ECU Library Services
During the semester break, Campus Libraries are staffed:
- Hours: 8.00am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday
- South West Campus Library: opens at 8.30am on weekdays
Campus Library closure
- Closed: Monday, 22 December 2025 – Friday, 2 January 2026
- Normal staffed hours resume from Monday, 5 January 2026.
Access during the break
- Joondalup Campus Library: swipe card access 24/7 (Lower Level 1 and parts of Level 2)
- Online Library collections: available at all times
eLabs
- Joondalup and Mount Lawley eLabs are accessible 24/7 during the holiday period for anyone with an access card.
- The South West eLab won’t be accessible during this holiday closure period.
IT Service Desk

Limited IT support will be available via email during this closure, responses will be delayed. This closure is in line with the ECU Limited-Services Period.
Password support (available during closure)
- Password Self Reset remains available.
- Please prepare by checking your password expiry date on the Staff/Student Portal. You can also familiarise yourself with your 'secret question' answers through the MyLogin page.
- Expired or forgotten passwords can be reset on the MyLogin page using your secret questions answers.
- If a password reset is required, this can also be performed on the MyLogin page.

Graduating students
Corporate Events Office (Graduations)

For all graduation-related queries during the closure period, please email the Corporate Events Office at graduations@ecu.edu.au, your email will be registered and we will respond on Monday, 5 January 2026.
Graduation registration closes midnight (12.00am) on Sunday, 11 January 2026. Late registrations will not be accepted.
Food, beverage and retail outlets
- Closed: Saturday, 20 December 2025 – Sunday, 4 January 2026
Most outlets are operating on amended trading hours throughout the period of November 2025 to February 2026. Please visit the Digital and Campus Services Knowledge Base for more information.
Security
Security officers are on duty 24 hours a day and can be contacted on:

The maintenance help desk operates on extension 5554 throughout the break. Security can also be contacted via the ECU safety app, Nowforce.
Restricted building access
- Closed to general access: 5.00pm Friday, 19 December 2025 – 8.30am Monday, 5 January 2026
During this period, only staff and students with approved swipe card access will be able to enter university buildings. If you access campus during this time, please contact Security to advise them of your presence.
Services at Mount Lawley
While we transition to ECU City, services at Mount Lawley will stay open until the dates below.
Until Friday 19 December 2025
These services will keep operating at Mount Lawley until the end of teaching in 2025:
