Make sure you're ready for the start of Summer School by running through a quick checklist of how to access the different tools you might need.
Orientation is a free program of activities to help you get ready to study as a new ECU student.
Participating in Orientation will help you familiarise yourself with your campus, our support services and facilities, as well as getting important information about your chosen course. If your orientation is on-campus, you might also meet your new classmates. Register for Orientation events.
If you are a new ECU student you might need to use Microsoft Teams to access one or more online Orientation activities. It’s important to use your ECU email address when accessing MS Teams to gain entrance to these online events.
You can access Teams through the Student Portal. Step by step instructions can be found here.
Make sure you've enrolled in all your units, and taken a look at your timetable. Find out more about these processes.
Download some maps to navigate your way around the campus. Locations are described by their campus, building and floor and room number. For example, JO31.440 would be Joondalup, Building 31, Room 440 - as the room number starts with a 4, it'll be on the fourth floor. If you're having trouble finding a room, just ask for some help.
Get your Student ID card and combined TransPerth SmartRider. Your card will be needed to access buildings, printers and other resources. Find out how to get one.
Find out how to get a parking permit. At the start of semester the university campus will be very busy. At the Joondalup Campus, the overflow parking in car park 20 on the corner of Grand Boulevard and Kendrew Crescent will also be available. All of the campuses are also easily accessible by public transport. Take a look at all the ways you can get to ECU.
The books and resources you'll need for each unit you are studying are listed in CANVAS, you can visit the School Locker store on the Joondalup campuses or head online to buy everything you'll need. Find out more.
The student portal is your gateway to the different systems and tools you'll use while studying at ECU. Log in, see the latest news, check your appointments and access CANVAS.
Welcome to your place, we're happy you are here.
