Courtesy of Business Events Perth, one deserving ECU staff member has the chance to be awarded $5,000 to attend an international event or conference in their field.
The ECU Aspire Award is open to both academic and professional staff and offers the recipient the opportunity to share ECU expertise on a global platform and connect with industry leaders all over the world.
In return, all you need to do is identify an international conference that has the potential to be staged in Western Australia and present a brief case as to why the conference should be held here.
The award covers travel, accommodation, and registration expenses to the maximum value of $5,000, and can be used within three years of receiving the award.
Last year, the award was presented to Dr Jason Goopy, Lecturer and Coordinator of Secondary and Instrumental Music Education who will use the grant to attend the 36th World Conference of the International Society for Music Education (ISME) in Finland.
There's nothing more rewarding than connecting in-person with experts in your field, and the Aspire Awards enable you to do just that, supporting exceptional Western Australians to broaden their professional networks, and learn about new developments and research outcomes.
