The ECU International Partnerships team work closely with a global network of education agents who provide guidance to prospective students about overseas study opportunities.

To further nurture our relationships with global education agents, the International Partnerships team has developed the ‘ECU Unlocked Agent Experience’ an out-of-the-box approach to build loyalty and expand knowledge of ECU among global partners.

Welcoming offshore partners

Many international education agents have been invited to Perth to experience ECU first hand, with agents from India, Africa, Mauritius, Southeast Asia and East Coast Australia having already experienced ECU’s hospitality

Marko Remes, Acting Dean - International Business Operations, ECU said offshore partners from Hong Kong, Europe and Bhutan are due to visit ECU in the coming months.

“ECU has always maintained strong, collaborative relationships with our international education agents,” Mr Remes said.

“Now international students are returning to Australia to study, our relationships with international agents are helping to establish ECU as a leader in an increasingly competitive global market.

“We are excited to welcome key partners to our campuses to showcase the world-class experience international students enjoy here at ECU.”

Bringing the world to ECU’s doorstep

A dynamic on-campus program has been developed in partnership with ECU schools to present our exceptional facilities and teaching to our international partners. The program showcases ECU as the top-ranked public university in Australia for undergraduate overall experience, teaching quality, skills development and learning resources (QILT 2021).

An interactive mobile-based game ‘ECU Unlocked: On-campus Challenge’ has also been developed to allow agents to explore the ECU Joondalup Campus while visiting the University, and learn unique facts about ECU.

ECU Unlocked includes destination-based activities and experiences created in collaboration with Study Perth, wowing agents with what Perth and Western Australia has to offer.

Collaboration key to innovation

Kirsten Williams, Marketing Account Manager, ECU said the ECU Unlocked branding and concept was developed in collaboration with the University’s Brand and Marketing team and has been a great success.

“In the spirit of ECU’s value of courage, it was a delight working with International Partnerships to create an innovative concept that really makes ECU stand out internationally,” Mrs Williams said.

At the end of each action-packed week, international agents will have ‘unlocked’ the very best of ECU and be ready to share that knowledge with prospective students in their country.
