ECU is proud to support the Cancer Council of Western Australia through sponsorship of the annual Relay for Life event.
What is Relay For Life?
Relay For Life is a fun and moving experience which brings people together to celebrate, remember and fight back against cancer.
It’s a chance for the community to recognise and celebrate local cancer survivors, those going through a cancer experience and their carers. It’s also an opportunity to honour and remember loved ones lost and raise money to help save more lives.
You can take part however you like by walking, jogging, running, wheeling or even dancing! The event offers non-stop, family-friendly entertainment, activities, competitions and food trucks. For those who choose to camp overnight, a free breakfast awaits!
The funds raised through Relay For Life West Coast will help Cancer Council WA to continue funding life-saving research, provide advocacy and prevention programs, and deliver vital cancer support services. Together, we can help ensure no West Australian has to face cancer alone.

Get Involved
ECU staff and students can get involved by registering as an individual, joining a team, donating or becoming a volunteer.
A range of assistance is required from supervising children’s activities, venue setup and pack down, administration, meet and greet, crowd control and more.
