Key goals
The Centre strives to:
- seek opportunities to assist prospective and current ECU students;
- provide positive pre-arrival, arrival, orientation and transition experiences for new students;
- support students in their studies through services that address their health, equity, disability, psychological and spiritual needs; and
- provide efficient and effective services.
Core teams
The Student Services Centre is organised into dedicated teams responsible for the planning, delivery, review and enhancement of a wide range of services:
- Student Liaison - handles student enrolments, student communication and enquiry management, international and domestic student support, and student activities;
- Student Progress - responsible for examination logistics and results
administration, student records, processing of applications for admission and
advanced standing, academic and examination timetabling, student system
support, administration of student fees, loans and scholarships;
- Student Health Services - assists students, staff and the wider ECU
community with psychosocial and physical health support through the provision
of Medical, Nursing and Allied health services;
- Course and Careers Information - provide course information and advice to assist students with unit selection and course planning, as well as provide a broad range of career resources and services to assist students in becoming an ECU job ready graduate;
- Student Counselling and Equity Services - provide support for students with personal issues
impacting on their studies, and equity support for students with diverse study
needs including temporary or permanent disability or medical conditions.
