The ECU Joondalup Pines outdoor cinema, located on our Joondalup Campus, is home to the Telethon 7 Community Cinemas film program. Run by over 700 volunteers, Telethon 7 Community Cinemas proudly donate all profits to kids’ charities through Telethon.
Situated amongst pine trees and adjacent to a lake and landscaped surrounds, the venue offers an opportunity to view blockbuster and family friendly films in a unique setting.
Opened in 1999, the venue can accommodate up to 400 patrons on a mix of deckchair-style seats, bean bags or picnic rugs on grassed areas. Bean bag lounges can be pre-hired online or at the venue (limited quantity available).
The film season runs during the summer months, from 27 November to 18 April 2020, with nightly screenings. Gates open at 6.30pm and films start at 7.45pm.
Once the season opens, tickets can be purchased online from Telethon 7 Community Cinemas or at the gate.
The film program will be available on the Telethon 7 Community Cinemas website from mid-October.
Online delivered gift vouchers are available at Telethon 7 Community Cinemas.
ECU Joondalup Pines is an outdoor non-smoking venue with a range of seating options. Picnics and non-alcoholic BYO drinks are welcome.
Food and drinks, including alcohol, are available to purchase onsite.
ECU Joondalup Pines is accessible by wheelchair.
