Overview
ECU has a large number of web enabled applications that are used by students. As more web systems are transitioned into the WebCMS system they will appear in the list below. Many of the web application systems listed here are also available as 'Easy Logins' and 'Other Logins' from the Student portal.
Student web applications
Key web applications used by students are accessed directly from the Student Portal. These include;
- Canvas
- CareerHub
- SIMO
- Student Printing System
- Student Webmail
To access the above applications, login to the Student Portal.
The following web applications can be accessed directly;
Support
All issues should be directed to the IT Service Desk.
This includes issues such as:
- the application is not responding; or
- you are unable to access the application; or
- or the application is presenting error messages.

In some cases, specialist support is available for a particular application. You can find out more information by viewing the 'Support' page within the associated web application page.
Off-campus and wireless access
Access to web applications within the "Easy Logins" and "Other Logins" such as Canvas, SIMO, Callista Connect, and Oracle Purchasing from within either the Student or Staff Portals may require you to have a Virtual Private Network (VPN) running between your computer and the university network. Information about setting up a VPN on your operating system visit the wireless help pages.
A VPN ensures all access between your machine and the university network is safe and secure.
