Looking for a fun way to build confidence on two wheels while exploring the city? ECU students and staff are invited to join the ECU Active City Campus Social Ride, a free guided cycling experience designed to help participants feel comfortable riding around Perth's shared paths and local roads.
Delivered in partnership with People on Bicycles, this beginner-friendly ride is perfect for anyone who is new to cycling, returning to riding after a break, or interested in exploring active transport options for getting to and from campus.
Participants will learn practical riding skills, gain confidence navigating urban cycling environments, and discover how easy riding a bike can be as part of everyday life.
The City Campus Social Ride will provide guidance on:
Bicycles and helmets will be provided to all registered participants, making this an accessible opportunity for anyone keen to give cycling a go.
And because no social ride is complete without a reward, participants will also enjoy a free coffee after the session.
Cycling is a great way to incorporate movement into your day, reduce transport costs, explore the city, and support your wellbeing. As ECU continues to grow its presence at the City Campus, initiatives such as the City Campus Social Ride provide opportunities for students and staff to connect with the city in active and sustainable ways.
Whether you're considering commuting by bike or simply looking for a unique way to experience Perth, this event is a great place to start.
Places are limited and registrations are essential. Registrations close Monday 12 October at 12.00pm. Visit the registration link or access it via the ECU Active link in bio.
