University Mental Health Day 2025

University can be exciting, challenging, stressful, and everything in between. That’s why University Mental Health Day is such an important reminder to slow down and check in with yourself, even just for a moment.

Falling on Saturday 3 May 2025, it’s the perfect time to reflect on how you’re managing and explore the support and community around you. This year, ECU is hosting a range of activities to help you connect, recharge and prioritise your wellbeing.

Joondalup Event

It’s all about balance. Brains & Balance: Uni Life with a Smile is a light-hearted event with games, snacks, wellness freebies and a chance to learn more about what The Living Room has to offer.

Location: Behind Slice of Italy (Building 9)
Date: Monday 5 May
Time: 10:30am – 12:30pm

Mount Lawley Event

Students are invited to start the day with a free breakfast at The Living Room. There’ll be warm drinks, muffins, and space to relax, whether you come with friends or just need a moment to breathe.

Location: The Living Room Mount Lawley – Building 12.124 (the old tavern)

The Living Room is all about supporting your mental health while you study at ECU. It’s a safe and welcoming space where you can drop in for a relaxed chat with a trained peer who understands the ups and downs of uni life.

Psychological Counselling Support

ECU also provides free, confidential counselling services for all students – including those studying online. Appointments are available via phone or video call and can support you with a wide range of personal and academic concerns.
