Perth celebrates Pride in November each year. In 1989 members of the LGBTIQA+ communities gathered outside Parliament to advocate for the decriminalisation of homosexuality.
Since then the city, and many parts of regional WA, has marked the landmark legal change with its annual celebration PrideFEST. The festival is filled with events, and ECU will be participating in many of them, and having some special events on campus too.
