Dear Students,
I hope this message finds you well! I’m writing to introduce myself and share my excitement about joining Edith Cowan University as your new Vice-Chancellor.
Since starting here on Monday, I’ve already had the pleasure of exploring some of our vibrant campuses, and I’ve been truly inspired by the energy, creativity and ambition that flows through the ECU community.
Whether you’re studying at our stunning Joondalup campus, immersed in the unique atmosphere of our South West campus, or enjoying the dynamic vibe of Mt Lawley, it’s clear that ECU is a place where students come first. Your dedication to learning and passion for making a difference are at the heart of everything we do.
As we move forward together, I’m eager to meet with as many of you as possible and hear directly from you about your experiences, ideas and aspirations for the future of ECU.
I’ll be attending student events, popping into our ECU City campus and finding opportunities to connect with you across our campuses. Whether you catch me at an event, see me walking around or feel like dropping me a message, I’d love to hear from you.
I believe that our best ideas come from collaboration, so your thoughts and feedback are incredibly important to me.
Whether it's about your course, your campus or anything that will help us make ECU the best place it can be for students, I’m keen to listen. Look out for upcoming opportunities where we can chat—both formal and informal!
Thank you for being part of this amazing community. I’m looking forward to working alongside you and making your University experience as rewarding and enriching as possible.
Professor Clare Pollock
Vice-Chancellor
