The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice: A Dialogue for Students is a special event designed for students and people interested in learning more about the upcoming Voice Referendum.

ECU has partnered with Australian National University (ANU) who are hosting this event in Canberra and streaming it live to partner universities all over Australia.

This special livestreamed event will connect students and the general public from across Australia for an in-depth dialogue, covering diverse perspectives regarding the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice Referendum.

The panel discussion will be moderated by Professor Mark Kenny from the Australian Studies Institute at ANU, who hosts the popular podcast Democracy Sausage.

The panel will include;

  • Senator Jana Stewart – Labor Senator for Victoria
  • Senator Andrew Bragg–Liberal Senator for NSW, Author of Buraadja: The Liberal Case for National Reconciliation
  • Sally Scales –Partnership Manager, Uluru Statement from the Heart
  • Dean Parkins –Director, From the Heart

ECU is holding satellite events at each of its campuses; Joondalup; Mt Lawley and Bunbury.
