The Joondalup Innovation Challenge is a unique opportunity for participants to work together to solve real-world problems faced by Joondalup residents, businesses and students.

Participants prepare themselves for the future of work by learning how to make rapid decisions and deploy creative, tech-based solutions. The event connects students with business mentors, start-up incubators and TEDx style speakers.

The challenge involves hundreds of students from different educational institutions working in interdisciplinary teams.

You will even get to create a team business pitch and go into the running to win some awesome prizes!

To take part in the program you will need to be available from events on 3, 7 and 14 September. You will need to commit a further 5-7 hours per week for the duration of the program between 4 - 14 September.

The program fosters important employability skills including communication, innovation, leadership, business agility and networking.

Aaron Ngan, from organiser franked.io, describes the high energy and fast-moving program as comparable to getting a “Mini-MBA”.

“You and your team will solve real world challenges and issues around cyber-security, digital economy, tourism and the future of work, and really make a difference by applying the latest technology and business tools to come up with solutions that are really needed in our world today.” Ngan said.
