The Student Experience Survey (SES) presents current higher education students with the opportunity to provide feedback about their experience of the institution they are enrolled in. The results of this research will help ECU and the government improve students’ experience and enhance teaching and learning in Australia.

The SES is administered by The Social Research Centre, forming part of the suite of higher education surveys under Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT).

How is the survey accessed?

Included students will be emailed a unique survey link by the Social Research Centre. Reminders will be sent to those students who don’t get around to completing it first time.

Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

The earlier you complete the survey, the more chances you have to win the major weekly prize of $1,000! There are heaps of other cash prizes to be won each week as well. Terms and conditions here.

Which students are in-scope for the SES?

The key student groups for this survey are those who commenced studying early in 2023, and those who are roughly in the final third of their studies: i.e., most first and third-year undergraduates, and most postgraduate coursework students. Higher Degree by Research students and those who have only just commenced studying mid-2023 are not part of the survey.
