National Careers Week runs during Week 12 from 15 - 21 May. It is a time to celebrate careers, career development, career development services, and career development practitioners.

Throughout the week ECU will be holding a series of special events and highlighting resources for developing your career skills.

Creating an Inclusive and Accessible Career

Around 4.4 million Australians identify as having a disability, and of those 2.1 million are of working age with nearly half a million actively seeking work.

Yet Australia ranks 21 out of 29 on disability employment rates among OECD, creating a challenge for many people seeking employment.

What is the secret to creating an inclusive and accessible career?
Where can you find supportive employers that ‘get it’?
Hear how first-hand from your peers and industry experts!

Sign up to this event which will explore the issues. The morning will be packed with stories from students with a lived experience of finding and creating an accessible career, as well as a question-and-answer panel from industry representatives, graduate employers and job seeking experts.

You’ll have the opportunity to chat to the panellists and other attendees.
Light refreshment will be provided.

This event welcomes all students. This event is wheelchair accessible and has a sensory space. If you require any additional support to attend, please contact event staff.

15 May 2023, 11.00am - 12.30pm
