Students with ADHD have some amazing strengths and skills that set them apart from other people. Having and ADHD-mind also tends to make studying at university more difficult than it is for other students – no matter how much you want to succeed or how hard you try.

Soon the ADHD Skills Group will start meeting to provide support for students with ADHD.

In this group you will have the opportunity to:

  • Join with other students who have similar experiences to you
  • Learn more about how your brain works
  • Build up your strategies for overcoming common ADHD-related difficulties (such as disorganisation, procrastination, difficulty getting started on study-related tasks; as well as emotional regulation, anxiety and many others)

This is a relaxed and confidential group which meets for 2 hours each week throughout the semester. Participants need to commit to attending every week, even during busy times of semester. This semester, it will run:

Thursdays 12.30pm – 2.30pm, Mount Lawley, 16 March – 18 May

If you are interested in attending the ADHD Skills Group, are available during this time and can attend each week, please contact Psycoligcal Counselling Support on 6304 6706 and they will organise a time for you to discuss the group with Sarah, the group facilitator.
